Kindle3 Order Cut-Off Dates

Ordered august 8th, shipped on Sept 3rd =). waiting now...

In regards to the date and notify by e-mail. mine never changed it always said notify by e-mail and then on the day it just changed to ship. they wont give you an approx date.

I dunno what ya guys and gals talking bout but I ordered mine after Aug 27th and the status says "Shipping on Sept. 7th". Amazon web site says its already available for shipping. So ya all will get your devices very soon. And for now just grab a beer and enjoy the life.
And I bet after a copla of month the price will drop to 299 mark. I just need an ereader now, otherwise I would wait for Pocket Book 9.7 and others to come out in the fall.

Ordered on August 7th, shipped on Sept. 2nd via Priority International Courier to Canada. Should be receiving it tomorrow morning.

Huh?!?! They are still back-ordered

Order now for mid-September delivery
Due to strong customer demand, Kindle is temporarily sold out. Order now to reserve your place in line. Orders are prioritized on a first come, first served basis. Orders placed today are expected to ship on or before September 20th.

I've been checking 1-2x a day to see if my order has changed, they are around 2 weeks out with their shipping right now.

Drop to $299????

ETA - Aha, lol - as the post above me pointed out, it appears you are talking about the Kindle DX - we are all waiting for the new Kindles that started to ship less than 2 weeks ago...

I am talking about DX. It says in stock on Amazon and mine is being shipped on Sept 7th. $299? Yes. By Christmas time it might drop to that mark or at least they will start offering some goodies for free with the purchase of Kindle. Like cover or smth. September is a big month for e-Readers. I am anxious to see Pocket Book 902/903. It might be priced a bit higher than Kindle but with touch screen, bluetooth, good folder support it might be worth paying a bit extra. I cant cancel my DX order now but I might return it if I found Pocket Book better.

yeah, my kindle dx order from monday exactly a week ago shipped on sunday with amazon prime 2day. with the monday holiday, its estimating Thursday delivery.

The DX product page says new orders can get it immediately, so I guess they solved their production chokehold since July
