I passed my dear Kindle 2 to my hubby. Set the ereader up with lots of mysteries and suspense novels and he is now using. He loves it. I wasn't sure how he would take to the ereader, but he loves it so far. He is still getting use to turning pages via a button vs. turning the pages - but overall good.

I passed my Kindle 2 on to my sister. While she had looked at it when I first got it and had even read a story on it, (http://www.tor.com/stories/2009/07/t...thousand-miles which I strongly recommend to all), she expressed no interest in it nor in purchasing any other ereader. I knew, however, that she had in excess of 2000 books at home so when I decided to get my Kindle 3 I loaded up the old Kindle with the 650 or so ebooks I'd accumulated here and there.
![]() When she came up to visit last weekend everything came together. My new Kindle arrived in the mail, her 'new' Kindle was waiting for her at her normal spot on the dining room table. We didn't have much of a visit, ![]() ![]() Edit: I also gave her my old stand and ordered a new one for myself. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product another thing I strongly recommend, especially if you are using your Kindle for recipes in the kitchen. I passed my Sony 505 on to my 13 year old son. He loves it!
I kind of miss it - there is no doubt that the screen contrast and lack of glare is better than the Sony 600 - so I'm glad it's still in the house if I ever decide to swap with him ![]() |

I live on the 7th floor of an apartment building, and was thinking of testing one of the heavier ebook Readers to see if it would fall faster than my Pocketbook 360.
Bodda-bing! ![]() But seriously, I already have two Kindle 2s, and plan to give one to my sister who reads (GASP!) Romances. That means I'll still have one Kindle 2 as a backup if my Kindle 3 decides to be reactionary. Don |

I sold my Kindle 2 - I needed the funds to justify the expense of my new Kindle 3. But I have my iPad and iPhone too. I doubt I will let myself get below those three as they serve different purposes and work better in different circumstances. I can't imagine not having a reader, it has quickly moved from a luxury to a necessity!

My mom is waiting rather impatiently for my K3 to arrive so she can take custody of my EZ Reader.

I have decided to sell both my Sony's after all and buy another Kindle, the 3G version this time. I want two readers so in a way it makes sense to have the same as books can be shared between them so hubby can buy ebooks as well, plus I can return the spare mains lead as the new Kindle will come with one.

Sold my K2 for $130. I also sold my sister's K2 for $130. Very easy to sell them off on CL.
I've had about 20 calls about them. |

Well I sold my Sony PRS505 and the Touch 600, I sold them both with cases and mains chargers, and they were posted off to their new owners today. I was quite sad to see them go.
![]() Anyway now I am down to one ereader ![]() I am torn between a 3G Kindle (i have the wifi) or a new Sony Touch 6500. I did love my Touch 600, just wanted a better screen so will wait and see one in real life (so I can put my Kindle next to it) before deciding. I am off on holiday in a weeks time so will pack a few paper backs as not sure I will risk my new Kindle on a beach, or round a pool just yet ![]() So anyone else out their with multiple makes of readers? If so how do you decide what goes on what, assuming you have DRM free books and Calibre Last edited by Josieb1; 09-07-2010 at 12:30 PM. |

I am keeping my K1 as my beach reader. I have a waterproof bag for the K1 and not for my DXG. I also like that I can use it as a reader for guests. I have not bought a new paperback in two years so having the K1 with more recent fiction and non-fiction is a good thing.

I still have every reader I've bought over the last ten years. I keep them on my bookshelf instead of books. So along with deciding what to read next, I also have to decide what to read on. I don't think I could ever part with any of my readers.
