![]() yeah, the Sony's sure do have their quirks, love them though and am keeping mine, they have their own strengths and I still love them. My real gripe is its too darn easy to buy books, Im spending ages trawling the store, getting samples and finding new books to buy, gonna cost me a fortune at this rate Much better when I had to get up off my butt to go to the PC and look for books, then download them and plug in my reader to transfer them, plenty of time to change your mind, now Im just gonna stagnate in my chair with a cuppa and an empty bank account lol |

The back's slippery! I briefly owned a Kobo and returned it to get the K3. It is better in almost every way, but the Kobo's back was so much better for holding with one hand! (Too bad it's button was located such that holding it with one hand and turning pages was nearly impossible.)

So, that's my big gripe so far -- too slippery! |

I love it when it works, but my Kindle 3 has had to be rebooted three times since Monday night when I got it. And it doesn't reboot unless I plug it in! I just sent Amazon a message. My K1 and K2 never had this problem.

I'm with the crowd that prefers to use a device as designed. After all, what's the point of getting something that is light and easy to operate with one hand if I'm going to block some of that advantage by sticking it in a case?

Not sure if a gripe or just not used to it yet. Bought new kindle 3 to replace Cool-er. So far, it is not recognised by Calibre (cannot send to device as device not 'seen'), and I am also disappointed that i do not get book covers from all the books i bought over the years (epub from my cool-er converted to mobi).

I did send over a bunch of books-- not 600, but maybe 150. But, I left it in sleep mode from last night until noon today and it was frozen when I tried to turn it on.

If you have a Mac, Preview can do this. And there are free scripts and tools for it also. Cropping doesn't destroy the contents that were cropped off, just creates guides that tell PDF viewing software what part of the page to display. |

![]() I got my Kindle3 this Monday and am super happy with it. My only gripe is really the screensaver...could so live without it (not because of the pictures but I'm using it to display a page for a longer time than a few minutes) hoping for a jailbreak ^^' But VERY happy with it nonetheless! |

Or, one bigger file into which you add titles and read-orders as you get new authors. Title that file 00read-order and it will be at the top of the index (when organized by title). |

Love my K3, they really nailed it this time IMHO. But heck I have a suggestion. When reading a book the arrow right and left on the 5 way jumps to next and previous chapter. I never use this on books, newspapers sure, books no. I'd like a menu option to make that function as an additional next page/previous page button. When reading one handed, right handed, it would be really easy to turn pages that way.
