hmm, that may be a valid point, I noticed that the brighter my light-source, the whiter the white looked. Though that same principle applied to the k2 and my PRS-300, so I don't know exactly how much difference I would expect.

I tried to do a eInk screen comparison in controlled conditions. You be the judge of results.
