I completely agree! That bezel drove me nuts. The new pearl screen of the k3 and graphite bezel are what sold me (price helped too)!

1. Pearl screen
2. Price
3. Integration across devices. Sometimes I like to read on my iPod Touch.
4. Wi-fi. A nice bonus.

As a side note, my Sony 505 is still charging along. I'm not planning on dumping it just yet, but it may be on the sidelines soon.

It's all about the screen. After being spoiled by KDXG's screen, my K2 didn't seem up to snuff. But, I often want something lighter and more portable than the DX, so K3 is perfect.

Plus, wifi opens up using Kindle as a free "printer" again. Documents of the "print, read once then toss" variety, I used to email to Kindle, but after Amazon started charging for Whispernet delivery, I cut back. It will be nice to once again send personal documents to Kindle without attaching the USB cable.

Also, I like to have the latest and greatest, and the price made it easy to upgrade.

Thanks--I hadn't seen that video. The page turn buttons look teensy compared to the ones on my K1. I hope I'll be able to get used to them.

I'd add improved dictionary lookup compared to my K1.

Price. I never had wireless on, so the $139 was a no brainer. I rationalized it with better screen.

It is my first device (oooh a virgin again!) so did lots of research, even bid on a few Sony 505's on EBay, however, as soon as I realised I could convert to the Amazon format exisiting books and that to be honest I would buy most of mine from there anyway the K3 was a no brainer. Plus the price was competitive.

Sadly fo rme, I ummed and ahhed for 2 weeks so still waiting for her to arrive!

Her? Yours is a girl? Or maybe it's more along the lines of "Let 'er rip!" or "Get 'er done!"

I think the Kindle is male as it does one thing well. Of course, I'm a bloke so I'm single tasking right now. I can multi-task, but only one at a time.

Were you saying something? (Sorry, I was concentrating on something else.)

Seriously, as a generalization, I think you're right.
