I would certainly use the kid to a good purpose. Last week we were at the lido di Brissago and I was walking with Little Daughter and I showed her to pass near the pretty German vacationeressen. They all said what ac ute little girl, nah nah. I could have picked up some, the point is that I am already ... Oh my what am I saying.

If there is any unwanted dumping on you, make sure that the kid does NOTHING but sleep. That way he can stay up late into the night keeping the "dumpers" entertained.

Congratulations Ea! I'm an old hand at this, I've been an aunt for 13 years (13?!

) and had a new niece (#7) this summer. But none of my sisters was irresponsible enough to ask me to babysit

Being an aunt is cool, you get only the good stuff and none of the bad

P.S.: did you notice the "related threads" list? Rameau's Nephew is a book that I downloaded a while ago, but haven't read yet. Or re-read, I'm pretty sure I must have done it when I was a student...

I've been an aunt for 13 years as well (as with Florence, 13!?!?! where does the time go!). 11 years ago, my second nephew got born, and 2 years ago (or was it 3?) my first niece. I also have a nephew on the in-laws side, I believe he's 9 or 10... I always forget the years...

I like nephews, especially if they live over 300km away

Looks like it could be interesting to have a look at. It's ages and ages since I've read anything remotely like philosophy and I can't seem to concentrate on fiction.
