The market access is not sanctioned, but with a bit of work not too difficult to pull off. It actually worked quite well on my Pandigital Novel.

If you are looking for a cheap android tablet, and can get one without hardware problems, it gets the job done. At one point I had like 90 apps installed, many from the marketplace. For example, I had Kindle, Borders/Kobo, Aldiko, FBreader, Sportstap, Pandora Radio, iheartradio, Slacker Radio, IMDB, Movieflix, ESPN, etc.

I'm holding out right now because I couldn't get one without screen defects. If the black one is released soon and is hackable, I will give it a try. I am also keeping an eye out for the Velocity Cruz reader.

The pro and cons of your first post are probably valid. No argument there, I've never seen the Pandigital Novel.

Even the "first reaction" of what's an ereader doing in BB&B may be understandable.

"I looked around the store at all the pots, pans, cooking gadgets and towels and thought to myself "is an ebook reader really on the shopping list for the demographic of the store?"

My first posting on the topic was that BB&B might indeed be a logical place to sell an ereader.

I don't think that we have a disagreement there, do we?

EDITED
My better judgment has kicked me in the butt. A lot of trash has been removed from this post.

mia culpa

After rereading everything, I think that I have, indeed, overreacted to your posts. The fault is with me.

I don't know anything about you, and it was wrong of me to assume that you were trashing people for their choices in readers.

My apologies.
