I'd be interested in seeing what you have to say about it, Nate.

Maybe *then* I'll be jealous :-)

Well, does it suck as much as the white one does?

I wanted to love it, but I couldn't. I wanted to like it but I couldn't. I loved the concept enough that I returned it and bought an ipad.

Wow you are really teasing us.. I am happy with the white one.. But, in your opinion, should I be converting mine back to stock format to exchange for the black one? Is it much better, faster, etc...

It is supposed to have 2Gb main memory, a stylus, and a few extra buttons. You can probably still find the manual they submitted to the FCC on line.
I've found that, unlike the pre recall white units, the new one can get along without a stylus. On my old unit there were a few buttons on screen that I could not access without one.

I think the post-recall ones are definately doable without a stylus, but more buttons would be nice. I tried it and found myself longing for a five-way button like on my Palm or eSlick.

I'll second the weight question.
It was too heavy for me to hold in the hand for reading.

When I suggested to keep it as a photo frame, my wife said it's too ugly for standing, go figure. So yeah also is it prettier?

Come on Nate, give us some feedback? Is it much better; should we get the white ones ready for exchange??? Or was the purpose of the thread just to tease????

Th epoint of this thread was to ask for requests. I can't give an opinion yet; doing so would violate the spirit of the embargo.

I hope it's better than the White one, which I just got on Tuesday and will be returning tomorrow. My screen froze, the power button would not work, and I couldn't reboot it. I turned it on this morning, thought the frozen screen from last night was just a glitch, but then it froze up again. So guess where this going???
