If they could add ePub support and lending capabilities, then the Kindle would be perfect.

Epub.

Collections in Collections.

Adjustable sleep time (or off/on)

Custom Sleep screens without a hack (love the Screen saver hacks...but...)

Font packs, pre packaged fonts, that we can just drop in to replace system fonts. (again, without a hack)

Oh, I love the adjustable sleep time. Now that we have passwords, it takes a little longer to wake my kindle up. I would love to be able to extend the sleep time.

Oh yes! A few (I coincide with many):
-Ability to annotate PDFs
-Ability to sort books into collections from my PC, since it is so slow to do that on the Kindle itself. Perhaps a PC side manager alla itunes?
-Folders, allowing hierarchical sorting. And collections created from folders. Or forget collections and go straight to folders...
-*Something* in between 100 and 150% for zooming PDFs! Come on, it can´t be that hard.
-More fonts!
-Aliasing-anti aliasing options, user selectable.
-Plus "all text as black" for PDFs

User installable true-type fonts.

Lots of other features are in the "nice to have category" (like dual column landscape) but installable truetype font support is a standard Linux feature; they're actually going out of their way to take it out!

So that should be the top priority in my book.

try not to be so hot headed....better think about what YOU wrote...and then consider how an engineer who was earning $8000/month feels watching his/her job get off-shored to a country where a top engineer earns $800/month...in fact user RobertB made a comment to use the fact engineers in China where they (Aztak) were having their readers made earned $800/mo and implied that amount as being TOO HIGH thus causing the cost of their readers to be so high...so tell me who is being denigrating here?

I don't see how you see the term 3rd worlder's as derogatory...it is a description of portions of the planet where living standards are not where they should be...has nothing to do with the people who live there. How you made that apparent leap is pretty stunning, unless you were looking for a reason to react as you apparently did, to the point of having to edit your comment...who knows what it originally contained.

I just added the relevant input to the original topic of the thread ( I wanted a smaller font size also implemented )- duly noted in the "reason for edit". It contained just the first line initially. So who is making a leap from just an edit.

You want all the benefits of Free trade and a free market (first world is benefiting immensely from the growing markets in the "third" world!!) without the downside of pure simple "supply and demand".

what does a post about typographical errors have anything to do with "portions of the planet where living standards are not where they should be"??

Typos are typos. Hints and assumptions that the typos are due to people from "third" world is completely unwarranted.

Anyways, because I was not looking for a reason to react and knowing that this kind of exchange can not end well - so I am off topic from now.
Regards
