The only reason B&N and other e-book stores have geo-restrictions, is because they are forced to implement those restrictions by the publishers.
Officially they have to tell you you cannot buy their books to satisfy the demands of the publishers, but of course they know the geo-restrictions are easy to circumvent. But why should they care? A sale is a sale.

I found an ebay seller, "shopintheusa" and my nook is currently in a postal office Portland.... It cost $168.... plus $50 shipping. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the UK based purelygadgets site. Oh well, you live and learn.

It turns out that it's quite a bit cheaper for me from ebay but of course it would arrive sooner from the UK.

which company we're talking about?

don't put the company name, just the address and yes also with the suite, if you're using comgateway just match the address field on BN site with the address given by comgateway (address 1 to address 1, address 2 to address 2, etc.)

Sorry Kaitlyn-xx your post isn't that clear for me, how do you know that the address is not in the USA, what's the post codes and the state name?

I live in Greece and found your information in this thread very valuable, however:

£149.95 (which would be 231.25289 U.S. dollars) + Standard Insured Delivery £40.00), so in total you would be paying UK£ 189.95 = 292.94089 U.S. dollars
If I understand correctly, since this is a delivery made from an EU country to another one, then the above-mentioned cost of £189.95 (£149.95+£40) is a final one, that is no additional fees are paid for customs etc

I paid $210 in total for everything using that mail forwarder services.
Did $210 include the customs taxes etc in your case? If not, how much did you pay for customs?

Thanks for the great info. I have just ordered a Nook thru this process. Just wondering how long it took to actually receive your order from Shipit, and were you able to register the Nook easily?
