Lol. I'm an atheist, but I'd be willing to thank Jobs for iPad. Hardware makers have finally (re)gained interest in tablets, now that Apple has blazed a trail of money.

Well, since Apple is one of the few electronics companies with good design, many of us "have" to buy their products.

But while I will continue to purchase their computer hardware and monitors, I did just replace one of my two iPhone 3Gs with a Samsung Galaxy S, running Android. And I am pretty happy with it.

I like good design, but iPad is the only Apple computer I've bought. I own a two-generations-old iPhone and a many-generations-old iPod, and have owned a string of Windows laptops and netbooks. I don't upgrade unless I have need, and my next tablet and phone might easily come from another company. My only loyalty as a consumer is to myself.
