Have a look at post#6, there you'll find the link.
If you download the latest development snapshot (1.1.4) and unpack the archive you'll find writer2xhtml.oxt inside it. Install it into OO. As an extra you can install xhtml-config-sample.oxt. Now you can convert Writer and Calc documents to epub by chosing Export from the File menu and in the export dialog box chose either epub or xhtml+..., depending on you needs.
Have a play around with the different settings. The Style option choses your stylesheet from a set of W3C recommended styles, or custom and then you can create you're own. The dialog boxes provide help on the settings available.

Regards,

Joop

I had a look at the epub from pincette but I personally like the conversion of writer2latex better.

Hi Joop,

What precisely do you prefer in the writer2latex conversion?

I've tried writer2xhtml.oxt and works fine.
Have a lot of options. I will keep testing it.

NOTE: I see get the TOC, but not the cover image
I repaired cover and author with Sigil. Will be good don't have to use Sigil.

I tried your OOo conversion module and the one from writer2latex and found it easier to work with the latter. If I'm remembering right I need to (re)apply your styles to my document to output an epub and with writer2latex I don't.
Further I like it when something is available as (open-)source since that makes it possible to fix or alter things to my own taste.
And last but not least its free.

Joop

Hi Joop,

You don't have to apply any styles to output ePub with ODFToEPub. It will just pick up the styles in your document. There are a couple of optional styles you can add to control the layout of synthesized stuff such as the table of contents or the alphabetical index.

I respect your choice for free software of course.

Stand-alone version of ODFToEPub

ODFToEPub now comes with a stand-alone version for those who don't use OpenOffice. It is a Java JAR-file you can launch by double-clicking on it, on most systems that is. It will then ask for an ODT-file and generate an ePub-file next to it.

Further more the following bugs have been corrected (many thanks to Shigeyuki Itami):

- An Asian CSS style is not generated if there is only the "font-weight-asian" property.
- If a "span" element has a style without a language code (directly or indirectly through the parent style), the language code of the surrounding element should be used.
- Missing Asian Unicode blocks.
- Language code "zxx" and country code "none" are not interpreted correctly.
- Exception while building the spine when the highest outline level is lower than 1.
- The property "text-line-through-style" with value "none" is translated to "line-through" instead of "none".
