No, that's the universe I'm going to this weekend. Washington, IA, county seat where Riverside, IA, birthplace of James T. Kirk. Unfortunately, looking at the Star Trek movie, I think Washington gets it when the aliens pull the sneak attack on Earth in the second season of Enterprise...

In Roman Ingarden's terms it is perhaps a quasi-fact, or a quasi-fiction, or a quasi-fiction portraying a quasi-fact, in which case the quasi's cancel each other out and it's a real fact...or not.

Whether we are sure or not doesn't seem to alter the fact of the matter - facts are not like trees falling in the forest which need someone to hear them before they can be said to make a noise - except when they are facts about trees falling in the forest - but most fact aren't about that.
