I just helped my husbands Aunty order one for delivery to Australia and the estimated shipping date is 9th August. I think that this means that she will get the Kindle 3.

I'm going to be jealous. lol

mines in the plane to the uk! got fed up with the glare on my sony, hopefully the kindle will be better!

I can confirm it's a lot better ! After I broke my PRS-505 I bought a PRS-600 and I never got used to the glare. The K2 is crisp as the 505 was

I got my delivery date 8.July.
Needed a new on because my Sony 505 is broken

But with the new price from Kindle2 i didn't think a lot to buy again a Sony.

I also got mine in three days, very impressive.
I have the K2i with firmware 2.3 how do I update that? I thought it was done automatically when I ordered stuff from the Amazon Kindle store.

I got my one yesterday, very impressive how fast they deliver from US.
I had Firmware 2.3 and the update to 2.5 was very easy.
I must say that the Kindle 2 is a class better then my old Sony 505.

The Kindle 2 Im giving a extended test drive to (target got a 90 return policy ) update it sell to 2.5 about a week after I had it while testing some of the web feature. download and up date took about 10 minutes.
