Just tried again today with 0.7.6, and I also tried with 1.03 version of the kobo plugin, still get this error when trying to view any books on the Kobo main memory or SD Card. Launching from the main library is fine.

ERROR: ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>AttributeError</b>:'int' object has no attribute 'row'

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\actions.py", line 1251, in view_specific_book

File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\library\models.py", line 1083, in paths
AttributeError: 'int' object has no attribute 'row'

Also, most of my pdf files on the card show up as Unknown now. I'm sure they used to show the filename. See image

Hi

So to be clear, the 1.0.3 version of the plugin had the same issue. Do you have a tool to run SQLite queries against your database?

I have not seen the same issue but I will take another look at the code.

Also, does the list (excluding the fact that the titles are incorrect) showing correct results? Does adding the number of ePubs and PDFS on the SD card equal the number of rows? How about for the main memory (with kobo books added)?

I just tried backing up one of the titles on the kobo reader to the library in Calibre and this is the error I got:

Unfortunately that is a current limitation of the driver. That file does not actually exist on the disk so it cannot be backed up. I have started looking at how to backup the kobo files but if you delete the books, it is a currently a one way process in Calibre (someone mentioned all the books are availble from the Kobo site but I have not looked)

I will log a bug and assign it to myself but I don't have a timeline yet

Can I delete them? I'm not too sure I care about 90 or so of the 100 books on the kobo, plus I'm pretty sure I could download them from either Project Guttenberg or Google Books if I wanted them again.

I've been using Sigil, which is an excellent epub editor. You can edit existing ones and create new ones from HTML files (which of course you can create using Word from something like a DOC or RTF file), or you can create the epub from a PDF using Calibre and then edit in Sigil.

Sigil allows you to edit anything you like, and has powerful search and replace capabilities (including regular expressions) for tidying up documents. You can edit the stylesheet and create or modify the table of contents.

I hate to jump on somebody else's hobby horse... I suspect you are using the word eReader to mean your Kobo reader. Unfortunately, long ago in the dawn of time, some company used that word to refer to their computer program and the file format it used as input. Perhaps only old people will get confused, but I think Barnes and Noble is currently selling ebooks in the eReader format for their Nook.

For the Kobo, the file format you can use is called 'epub', as someone else pointed out earlier.

Using the latest release of Calibre I just finished removing the 100 free books from my Kobo. What a change! I now only carry the books I really want to read in the near future and delete them as I finish reading them. Thanks Calibre team
