When I updated my iphone this morning it didn't remove anything off the phone. All my music videos and apps were still there when it was done.

Great. Probably be ok then. I'm kind of looking forward to the folders. How do you like the update, Belmana?

My Calendar(s) and Contacts are sync'ed directly from my iPhone 3GS with my Google Calendars and Contacts. I only have them
sync'ing Manually (that is, when I enter the respective apps, as opposed to Push for instance). After the upgrade I had lost all my Calendar and Contacts info, but it just went out and grabbed it all from Google again when I entered the apps. No big deal, but if you use Google with your iPhone that way, don't be surprised.

App folders are great.

Yea it wiped mine because I updated to OS4 on my work computer and my itunes library is synced with my home computer. So the sync to my work computer wiped the itunes library. Operator Error!!

Thanks for explaining how your upgrade went, Marc. From what you say, I shouldn't have anything to worry about. The App folders should help unclutter things. I will be doing the upgrade soon.

Well I have just done the update on my 64Gb Touch 3g and the folders are great! It will take me a while to sort out which apps I want in what folders etc. Should be much more organized than before; once I complete putting them into the folders! Yet to try the multitasking.

Downloaded and installed my iOS 4 for my 16gb 2nd gen iPod touch on Mon. It did remove all music etc from my touch but left the apps intact. The music library on my desktop PC was fine. It took me a bit to figure out hte folders but I like them now that I have the hang of them. I also like the ability to make a playlist on my device without being hooked up to itunes.

Unfortunate you lost the music from your Touch, nursedude. Mine didn't remove any music (mine is 3rd Gen though, must be the difference). All apps are all still there also. Took me a little while to figure out the app folder also; then I recalled that one must drop an app on top of a similar type of app to make the folder. Happy I went with the iOS4.

My 2G Touch with iOS 4 is running ok except iBooks. I can't see any books I sync. Even when I use the store, books download to 99% and never finish. My shelf is empty.

My newly arrived iPhone 4 likes iOS 4 too! A few pics are up in the iPhone 4 thread here.

Oh, there's a pic there of the foldering in use, too. Sweet!
