Hi Evil Bunny,

The Reader is currently only sold in the US - I had to buy mine from eBay. I didn't know that there were "Borders" shops in the UK - I don't think I've come across them. I'd never even heard of them until I read this thread, in fact .

whats the info on this ? as a borders member I got a $20 off coupon on anything over $100 and it was combinable with personal shopping days etc.. so on Thursday before christmas (split the cost with my dad) I got almost $60 off my sony reader $35 for the 10% $20 for the coupon and I had something like $6 in earned credit left. all used to get the reader. no problems or questions asked ???

I don't think it was the $20 off $100 or more coupon, it was the 20% off a single item register tape coupon that they were talking about.

Good news for those who are still waiting to buy one AND have a birthday coming up. I bought my Reader the night before my birthday--lo and behold, I received a couple of birthday coupons from Borders. The important one was 15% of any book/CD/DVD OR 10% any electronics!

A quick trip back to the store and a short discussion with the counter clerk and my Reader was credited back to my card and re-purchased with the discount.

Hmmm good to know. I've got a birthday coming up and I just got another personal shopping day that expires after my birthday.

There used to be Waterstones here in the US, but I believe they all shut up shop back in the mid to late 90s.
