Sadly, no. The Kindle apps will only read books bought on Amazon. That includes the Windows and Mac versions as well as the iPad/iPhone versions.

There's no reason Amazon couldn't turn on that functionality to allow you to transfer .azw books purchased from them, though.

I guess they wouldn't have to though-you can just access the .azw books you buy from them so easily on every device directly from Amazon...also it seems that every time you download the same book on a different device, Amazon applies a different DRM key (so a book downloaded directly thru the iPhone app won't really be the same book downloaded thru the Kindle4PC app)
