Dumb question here, but are you using an SD card in your reader? On my mom's PP, with one card she was getting a full battery drain overnight, after reading only a couple hours. I change the card out, and so far so good. Odd thing is, it's the same brand, same capacity. One is about 3 or 4 years old though. It was the one draining the battery.

Are you positive that you are charging correctly? People often press the "OK" button instead of any other key. Pressing the OK button will not start charging.

I know you are bright and conscientious. BUT... let us start with the basics. Have you read "how to charge" on the FAQ sheet? The FAQ sheet is at: www.theEZreader.com/html under "support".

Are you seeing the lightning bolt when you charge?

Are you seeing the blinking red/orange light when you charge?

If you start charging and turn the device fully off... do you see a very large lightning bolt?

If the device is off when you start the charging does the device turn itself "on" automatically?

Once you see the blinking red/orange light do you charge for 10-12 hours?

When you see thye green light do you continue to charge another 2 hours?

All of this can tell us something to help you.
yes I am sure it is charging, I did all that, and 2 hours later it freezes and seems to be dead.

I work in IT, and fix tech devices for a living, so I am pretty sure I know how it works. I still have not recieved a response from support after I told them their ideas did not work.

That is why I waited a Weekend to respond back to make sure I could test everything. It is now Wednesday and not a thing back from support.

Also are you sure the battery is a good one? Was it good when it worked? yes, but what about the longevity of the battery?
