It seems as though this is what many people see as the 'future of ebooks', but I very much doubt it.
I think most people who buy an ereader did so because they want the exact experience of a normal paper book without the associated hassle that comes with physical books.

I'm not even particularly keen on illustrations in novels. Why would I want full color video clips distracting me while I'm reading?

I can see the advantage for non fiction books, but novels are fine just the way they are.
