I may need to word it differently.

Maybe relative to paper prices.

Something like:
Up to 10% of Trade Paperback price
Up to 50% of TP price
Up to 75% of TP price
Up to 100% of TP price

Other things that have been brought up are: fiction vs nonfiction (I was intending fiction), new author vs big name author

Most people won't pay as much for new ebooks of out-of-print backlist pbooks as they will for entirely new ebooks. And a lot of people have said they're willing to pay more for ebooks before the paperback has been released, or that they're willing to wait for the mmpb in order to get a lower price.

(For me, it's a fairly moot point. Since I won't buy DRM-infected ebooks, new ebooks I'm willing to consider are pretty much all in my comfortable price range.)

I agree with this, and I vote for no more than 50% of the cheapest paper version of the book. As for DRM, no-sale if it is infected with DRM.

OK, maybe I'll go with this:

What are you willing to pay for a newly released ebook (within the first 3 months of release of an original fiction title):
Up to 10% of Trade Paperback price
Up to 50% of TP price
Up to 75% of TP price
Up to 100% of TP price
No sale if it has DRM

OK. Two polls posted. One with DRM, one without.
