That's Jack Williamson, not Leiber.

Michael Moorcock's _The Revenge of the Rose_ involves a werewolf.

I am going to be reading The Skin Trade from George RR Martin soon. It is a short story in his Dreamsongs II book. I read they were gonna make a movie out of it.

Ursula LeGuin also wrote an excellent werewolf short story called "The Wife's Story."
It was originally in her book "The Compass Rose".
It's about a wife who suspects her husband may be a werewolf. There's more to it but I can't say more without spoiling it.

"Full Moon Rising" by Keri Arthur is a werewolf story which was given away free by Sony a few months ago.

Just for fun, check out one of my youtube whisper vids. I'm reading the beginning of this novel. Turn the sound up on your computer if you want to hear the words:

(I still can't embed vids )

Yup. Jack Williamson is indeed the correct author. My other comments still hold, however.

Here are a couple of older ones:
The Werewolf of Plonkert by H. Warner Munn
http://www.fictionwise.com/ebooks/b3...ner-Munn/?si=0

Also The Undying Monster:
http://www.fictionwise.com/ebooks/b30335/?si=0

Like all old pulp classics, your mileage may vary.

One of the most famous is The Werewolf of Paris by Guy Endore. There is a Kindle edition, so there might be other editions out there:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Werewolf-O...=AG56TWVU5XWC2

Project Gutenbeg has one of the earliest werewolf novels, Wagner the Wehr-wolf, a penny dreadful from Victorian times:
http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/27202

I haven't read any of them yet, but they look neat.

Oh, and for a more heroic portrayal of werewolves, Marie de France wrote Bisclavret in the 12th century:
