Hi all, thanks for all the great responses. I'm going to go down a different path. I looked into merapi, but it requires a jvm process to be running for the bridge. This stinks, so I'm just going to port everything directly to ActionScript3. I'm targeting the Air platform b/c this will be a desktop app that is cross-platform compatible, supports SQLLite as well and UI dev is super easy and nice. I'm going down this route b/c I want to control the features, etc. -- basically, I want to build something that is useful for myself, and then put it out there...maybe someone else finds it useful.
