Once you enter, it should have a place up top to sign in and register.

By the way,did you know that MR has free ebooks? They have been beautifully handcrafted by some very dedicated MR members. (I think the MR free books are better formatted than the free classics from Sony.) ePub format and Sony BBeB / lrf format

Hi again.
Thanks so far for the help, but I think I've figured out the problem here...

When I first got the reader, I wanted a book for it. So as I was eager, my dad got out his laptop and downloaded the library software. I had a look at it now and found it authorized under his own address. Also, he bought the book under his own Waterstones account.

Is there anything more I could do now? Like contact Waterstones or even Adobe...?

Cheers for the links by the way. I like Manybooks and also Project Gutenburg too.
I shall check out the MR ones when I get time.

EDIT: Actually, looking at it, it was bought in WHSmith under my name, so maybe it'll let me download again.

You have a couple of choices:
1) leave it registered under your Dad's name and account (If you purchase books you have to pay dad back ) and register your computer under his name (along with installing the software on your computer).

2) deregister the Reader and computer and then reregister the Reader and computer under your name (along with installing the software on your computer).

Option 2 means that you will have used up 4 of the first time period of ADE (Adobe Digital Editions) 6 device limit. It also means that you will lose the ability to read the book already purchased under your dad's name on your newly registered to you Reader.

I think that is right from all the posts I've read about this problem. I have my computer registered and keep my mom's Reader registered to my account so we can share books.

Yeah, I tried re-downloading the ebook but got a -475 Adobe error. Maybe keeping it on my dad's pc is better for now.

I guess deleting from my dad's pc wouldn't cure the error?

What have you done to get that error?

The DRM of that book is registered to dad through his account. If you haven't reregistered yet, then all you have to do is register your computer under dad's account name and you can redownload the book. (If you do, the manage devices list under "My Account"- in the Sony Reader Store - will show 2 computers and 1 Reader now.) You may also have to install ADE on your computer.

(Remember that ADE and the Sony log in and password have to be exactly the same for them to work together.)

EDIT: Anyone else have some ideas?
