That was a few years ago. It was the 1970 version (breviary and liturgy of hte hours are interchangeable terms in English.) I think I found it in palm doc format and converted it to bbeb when I had a sony reader. I don't know if I have the original source around anymore. There is another group at almudi.org that publishes the Latin version in iSilo format. Navigation was tolerable, but not fun. If you want, I can search for the files if I still have them and send them to you somehow.

Interestingly enough on copyrights, both Android and iPhone have the lectionary, missal, and breviary in apps. It would seem that the copyright holders turn a blind eye when it comes to distribution such as this.

@beartard: thanks for the lit. horarum. I have to dig up my palm somewhere. I tried converting them to epub but as I suspected unusable with the nook.

@OP. Another alternative to NAB: I got myself a copy of RSV-CE from Ignatius Press in epub. While the text itself is good, navigation with the nook is really-really bad. It's fine with ADE though. With unrooted nook, the "goto page" is useless, the index on page 2 only point to each book, and lastly one has to scroll alot just to find something specific

If you want to find say, Ps 50:15, you have to scroll through

Genesis
1
2
3
... scroll insane amount of stuff
Psalm
1
... still scrolling
50 .. aha! then flip flip to verse 15

In short, I don't recommend it. I still prefer the usual dead tree book or if situation permitted netbook + ADE for this, perhaps an ipad but don't quote me on that. Unless of course you want to do linear reading of the whole thing.

Hi i got the RSV version for Old and new testaments from the b&n and Sony stores. No other versions available.. I still much prefer reading the Bible on a real book though, bec I tend to flip to look for specific passages/chapters. On the irex, navigation is much easier than on Nook (as for my sony 300,it's rather hopeless. the Bibles are larger files so it spends a lot of time just opening the file). I still wish there was easier way to navigate to chapters/passages within a book..

I started reading it from cover to cover. I switch from KJV to DR. That was awful what Joseph's brothers did to him. It worked out in the end, though.

Just in case no one has thought about it: but you can download various ebook versions of the Bible, free, from project Gutenberg at the following link. http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

If you want epub Bibles for free, I actually recommend the ones made by our friends here at Mobipocket.
