So far i think the problem with battery drain is if you are using March firmware, if you dont want this problem keep using the December firmware.

You say you are charging once a day, are you playing music through the day? I can't confirm but I believe I read that the battery last 7 hours playing mp3s. Also, what firmware are you running? Have you upgrade since getting your PP? The early firmware had a battery drain bug which was resolved in latter firmware releases.

Just to add to the thread, I am running Dec firmware (previously Nov), I didn't try the March out long enough to notice battery issues. Not since moving from the original firmware shipped with the PP have I had battery drain issues. I have some generic SD card (not SDHC - unfortunately I have never been able to find the class card it is).

Dear Nimblem:

Do you have the EZ Reader 6 inch or the Pocket PRO? The factory says to go only to 4GB on the 6 inch. You can push it a bit to an 8GB. I think 16GB in it is pushing your processor too hard. That is a lot of sorting for that slower processor to do.

I am not a tech; but I sense that may be the problem. Have you tried a nice quick 4GB Class 6 card?

No Sir, I have the PocketPro! Still can 't listen to music while I read though. Not sure why... Maybe the new firmware?

I can't run any music from it while reading... I am running the March firmware right now. I went from charing it about once every two to three days to having to charge it while reading...

MOST of the people on this forum rarely play MP3 so you may not get a lot of response to your post. Why not call 1-866-368-8788 and let them try to help! Wait 24 hours just to see if anyone on here does know the solution!

Let me get this much straight. It WILL read a book OR it will play music... but not at the same time?

You MAY need to go back to the december Firmware Upgrade. That March one was really cranky and we are still working on it.
