Pocketbook 360 problem with ADE drm'd epub files - Page 2

Yes i installed the 15.1 firmware but nothing different. I have tried de-authorizing and reauthorizing, and nothing changes.

I am starting to think that it is a problem with the actual device.

Hopefully the guys at pb will solve the problem , but i am happy to try any suggestions.

I tried to re do the ade software stripping evertyhing from the device and the computer, and now i get the message that I have a bad device key when trying to authorize the device.

Any reason for this?

Try to reinstall the firmware, it should generate valid key

Has anyone had this problem on their PB360, I really can't see what the problem is, and I do not know whether it is he pocketbook or ADE that is causing the problem

I had the same problem when I first got mine. I had to update the firmware on the 360 even though it already had the latest firmware and hit the reset button on the back of the 360. It now works fine with library books.

So did you hit the reset button before it reset itself? And how long did you hold the reset button for?

Thanks mobert, I tried what you suggested with the firmware 15.1, I tried pressing the reset button on the back after the update, and nothing changed , the ade drm'd ebooks still won't open. Maybe there is a problem with my particular device.

How did you rest, did you use the reset button on the back?

I don't remember in what order I did everything but just long pressing the reset button in the back did not work. I followed the instructions for installing updated firmware and I think there was button pushing involved. sorry but my mind is fuzzy.

This looks like a problem for the service center. Please contact your vendor as soon as possible and get your PB repaired.

Have you tried to install an older Firmware (14.2) ?
You can find it here (mobileread.com,germanforum)

Or wait a few days for the new firmware (should arrive next week)

I am currently waiting for adobe to reset my account so i can reconnect my device to ade. I think the problme I had was that everytime i tried loading the firmware it loaded fine, but i did not do a factory reset.

Now that I have done a factory reset, I am just getting the information that the device needs to be authorized, Hopefully once I have managed to do this, the epub books will work correctly. If not I will have to take it to the service center her in Moscow.

Unfortuantely it is out of the 14 day money back garuntee so I can't return the product, only take it to be fixed.

Thanks for everyones' help, I have sorted out the problem. I loaded the firmware onto the device but did not re-format the internal memory. Once I figured out to do this, eveything worked fine.
