Device: Boox PB360 etc etc etc
i understand changing hand etc. with the PB 360 i just flip it over and the screen (and buttons) reorients for the new position . you can do it during a page turn. this allows you to make as small a bezel and there for as compact a device as possible.

i was concerned about boox's center bottom button until i tried it. I can easily reach it with either thumb

Good comment. I find we really do not get the size perspective from the product shots of almost all mfg's. Until seeing the PB360 compared to a CD case I had no idea it was even more in my sweet spot size wise for one handed operation. I can see the Boox being in the same situation. Without items in these shots to demonstrate perspective about the size it's very difficult to impossible to get the sense they can be great for one-handed reading.

Thanks to the links on MR wiki and forum I found out about that device (PAGEone by NextPapyrus).
I'm living in Korea so I bought it online and got the OS updated to english version at the factory (korean customer service is always amazing!).

It is very simple and compact and so far I'm enjoying it a lot!

The PAGEone has the same function but without orientation detection; you have to make long key press for it.

take a look at something....look at the handstrap on the back of the reader cover...that is the sort of thing I have been asking mfg's to add to their readers forever. To me it's almost a no brainer way to make a very easy to hold reader. It moves the weight out of the fingers in onto the part of your hand intended to hold things for longer periods. It also would help the many people out here with hand probs. Plus it is as simple and inexpensive a solution as can be...it would be nice to see it on the actual device rather than a cover though...

I can't see an image with the hand strap that you mentioned, but the Sony readers (at least the PRS 300) has one of those little recessed bar things (sure there's a term for that) where you can add a hand strap. I put one from an old cell phone on it and would hate to have to live without one-- I never carry it without my hand through the loop (and when I read at night, I hang it from the bedpost when I'm done.)

Yeah, the reader comes with a very nice leather cover featuring those straps.
You can see pictures of it on the store site: http://www.pageonestore.com/
At the bottom of the page, there is a small pict of the reader with its cover, click on it to see more...

The straps are actually really convenient and I guess such stuff can be fixed on any reader with a bit of DIY skills^^.
