It looks interesting. It comes with a ac/dc charger and it connects to the computer via usb. It doesn't have any dictionaries or annotation, but it does have a flip mode where it automatically turns the page after a set number of seconds.

Interesting, yes the manual mentions the usb for charging and transferring files.

Charge it for 5 hours for only 8 hours of use and the battery is not user replaceable? Doesn't sound too good to me.

Also mentions several times in the manual that it will accept 2 GB SD cards, and then in one place it says 16 GB.

Is Delstar really going to support this thing with BIOS updates and new parts or is it just another throw-away item? I can't afford to throw away $100.

Reading on an LCD isn't any different than reading on my Dell Axim other than screen size. I'll stick with my Axim until something better comes out. I'm thinking color e-ink displays...

I would be surprised that you got a full 8 hours of normal reading.
There are adjustments, like reduced back light that streach a run time.
No-DRM support.
NO BIOS upgrades listed on their site.
This company appears to specialize in One Off Wonders.
Next time, a different model.

$99 is pretty cheap, if the device will do what you want. understanding it's limitations.
