CUPERTINO, California—March 5, 2010—Apple® today announced that its magical and revolutionary iPad will be available in the US on Saturday, April 3, for Wi-Fi models and in late April for Wi-Fi + 3G models. iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch™ interface makes surfing the web an entirely new experience, dramatically more interactive and intimate than on a computer. You can read and send email on iPad’s large screen and almost full-size “soft” keyboard or import photos from a Mac®, PC or digital camera, see them organized as albums, and enjoy and share them using iPad’s elegant slideshows. iPad makes it easy to watch movies, TV shows and YouTube, all in HD, or flip through the pages of an ebook you downloaded from Apple’s new iBookstore while listening to your music collection.

Pricing & Availability
iPad will be available in Wi-Fi models on April 3 in the US for a suggested retail price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available in late April for a suggested retail price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB. iPad will be sold in the US through the Apple Store® (Apple), Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers.

iPad will be available in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models in late April in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. International pricing will be announced in April. iPad will ship in additional countries later this year.

I doubt I even get an iPad, but the 3g option would be cool. I know how great it is with my iPhone not having to even think about an internet connection. But.... I don't need it, and I sure as heck don't have the money.....

The difference between a critic and a hater is that the former bases their opinion on arguments. And no, ”iBad” is not an argument. So I guess the question should rather be: Why does Apple attract so much haters?

In all fairness to the original poster he has made some sound arguments regarding the iPad in other threads. When a device is referred to as magical and revolutionary it's gonna take some hits with name calling. I think the name iBad is worth a chuckle.

Ibad lol I also came up with that nick for it.

Well, i know it is an Ibad but, i saw a lot of usage for that device, just not the original one jobs want it to use as.


ONe reason Ibad can do well in various commercial, industry sector is its entrance for customer software development is relatively low, since it is a specialist device means like Xbox, a standardised hardware, no worries of chipset combination crap windows need to look after with an open platform.

It is highly possible to develop them to performed fixed functions. I want one to play with for the protential if the 3G version drops down to below 399 Australian dollars!
