I absolutely adore verdana on my computer screen. But for my ereader, I find it too wide. I prefer a font I found on my PC, thesis.

I just got my ereader on Friday so I've been experimenting with the fonts recommended here. So far I like Fontin, Fontin Sans, Georgia and Gentium Book Basic but the one I am using at the moment is the same font I used on my desktop reader and was very happy to find it looks great on the Pocket Pro as well. It's called Segoe UI. I believe it comes with Vista.

Straight lines, nice blocky serifs, very clean and unobtrusive look, supports many languages. If your device supports hinting this should look very clear and sharp.

Ooh, I like that! I'll have to remember to download it when I get home. (Work blocks a lot of free download sites.)

Did you start with Hieroglyphics or Cuneiform writing and move up?

My favorite is

Verdana.

It is sanserif, and very dark and easy to read. I first discovered it on my Alphasmart Dana unit that included Palm's ereader software.

Have to agree. Love Verdana... But also partial to Palentino, Dejavu sans condensed, Georgia, Arial, and a few others.

Well now I had my PP for almost a month and install alot of different fonts. I find myself using Gentium Basic and Gentium Book Basic most. I find I like fonts that are condensed and show more words per page. I read in Zoom 3 of the Mobi Reader and these two fonts work best for me.
