I'm concerned that someone may get hoodwinked into helping. given that this person is pm'ing people for help. there's nothing saying everyone has scene this, or the other threads. we are all amazed everyday by the good hearted folks that get stung in some scam and wonder how the hell it happened... this is what this feels like

The reason why i offered a compensation for help is because i wanted it to get to work and not have to buy one, but if there is no other way i will gladly get one, there is no scam or play here, just desperate honest truth!

My uncle just let me know that he bought the item from a guy that was selling a few of them sealed at a kiosk at the swap shop, so he paid 200 dollars for it. So he is out of money, and if your saying there is no way to activate it then i guess, i will have to purchase one on amazon.com see you misunderstood i am just desperate to make a new device work just did not think a sealed item could be stolen from someone...

I'm afraid that it's very much a case of "caveat emptor". Someone selling new, sealed, Kindles at $200 really should have set alarm bells ringing, given that Amazon are the only original seller of the Kindle and they sell it for $259.
I'm sorry that your uncle was conned in this way, but really, the only thing that you can do now is to talk to Amazon and see if they can help you. |
