I completely agree. The more people that return their readers due to this problem, the more likely that Sony will address it in the future.

I don't mind my 600 but the screen quality is a big step back from the 505 (the best reader i've owned) and even from that of the Librie.

Coming from a 900 to the little 300 must have been a bit of a shock for you. The small screen is not perfect, but it is a good compromise. I would not count on there being any more non-touch screen dedicated ereaders being made. All the manufactures have it in their head now that everything has to have a touchscreen......for a dedicated reader I really don't see the point, but that's just me.
I've only had my 300 for a week now and as a simple reading device I don't know how it could be improved with a touch screen. You hold it with one hand and you turn the pages with your thumb.

Ease of navigation.
Note taking.
Tapping words to access the dictionary.

Whether these are worth the reduction in readability is down to individual preference. If the PRS900 were available with/without touch screen, I would be in two minds. If it were available with a different touch screen technology that required a special pen rather than a finger (like a wacom tablet), I would go for that option without question.

These technologies are moving so fast, that I'm confident that I'll be able to replace my PRS900 with a reflective, colour, touch-screen device, with optional backlight. The question is only how long this will take.
