I was playing with the pixel aspect ratio in PS and when I drop thepixel aspect ratio to 0.4 then it does indeed look like a normal K2...it could very well be squished...still I sure would like a landscape orientation reader like the possible squished version...btw, we have a couple of those covers as well...mine if going up for sale because of the left edge making it harder for me to turn the pages...better half loves hers...but she is, well, just not right anyway.

me too...one of my complaints about the K2 is now that is supports different screen orientations, I really displike the location of the page nav buttons. As I mentioned in another post, the balance is also not quite right. but I would LOVE a native landscape device that has the buttons on the short side though they need to be the same buttons on both sides so people can navigate easily with either hand. I would also not mind 3-buttons on each side (next og./prev. pg./home)...the "joy" stick can be whever it wants to be...

Here is to hoping it is not just a goofed up image and a real prototype...but after playing with it deeper, I could manipulate the image of the reader itself to look close to normal.

This thing is butt-ugly!

It looks exactly like what it is, which is a vertical image of the K2, resized by the website to fit the horizontal placement box.

I'm pretty sure E-Ink in color still won't be as good as Mirasol. Much as I hope to avoid Kindle, it would be great if they tossed the E-Ink for Mirasol, and could possibly make a customer out of me.

I own the jacket pictured, it hinges at the top. I can 100% verify it is simply a squashed image - someone just messed up the img height tag. =)
