Create documents and code...hmm. Documents, easy enough. Code, that could be html, perl, etc... Nothing too specific here.

Can iMeh run SAS or any other statistical packgage? Can it edit anything, video, sound, flash? Oh wait, my fault it cannot even read it.

Well this baby with a base and windows 7 can. So yeah I think it's worth double of iMeh. Plus it doesn't have ugly bezel in slate mode.
Sheesh, no need to get all uppity because something doesn't fit YOUR needs. Maybe, just maybe, not every single person in the world does exactly the same work you do, thinks like you do, or whatever else it is you happen to do for your line of work. The iPad is absolutely, unequivocally, not aimed at people like you. Point is, the iPad can do office type work, which is what I'd suspect the majority of the population does anyway. You're a power user, and for that the U1 will probably work half way decent.

And please, how about dropping the "iMeh" to keep negativity out of the thread? Intelligent people can actually argue a point without throwing childish remarks into the mix.

I can also browse my online reference materials on it.

For $500 plus $50 for bluetooth keyboard the iPad is going to be much cheaper for my work.

no point at all paying an extra $450 for something taht takes longer to boot, is heavier, runs an OS im unfamiliar with and has shorter battery life.
Ah when you said 'no point' you meant your point?

Please keep your logic consistent. Just because you can do what you want to do on iPad or even iPhone, doesn't mean that powerful and feature rich machines should cost the same. There is a whole market for very expensive gaming rigs, professional workstation etc. The U1 seems to me could cost $1000 and be a bargain. I would prefer $799, but I will take it for $1000, because of it's dual use.

I also heard intelligent people can actually argue a point without personal attacks.
Plus really iMeh is childish? Your definition of childish is obviously different from mine. Do you also take offense at reading the words fanboi?

Your definition of "intelligent" must differ from that of mine. I made no personal attack, merely a statement, and in a separate sentence no less.

Yes, "iMeh" is childish, and so is "fanboi". Both are words with a derogatory connotation.

My logic was consistent I was talking about me and my work and then said there was no point in spending the extra money so it was pretty clear that I meant no point ME spending the extra money.

If your comprehension skills aren't up to working that out then its hardly my fault is it.

The rest of your comments are pretty obvious, but pointless aiming them t me or me replying because you misunderstood what I wrote.
