Uploaded my Calibre Library to my iDisk in MobileMe which took about 20 minutes — while I did something else — for 104 MB (150 books + related metadata.db file); however, it only took 5 or 6 minutes to get the folder from there onto my laptop. It worked like a top! As I mentioned before, I have only so far used MobileMe for photos, so cannot comment on whether this is fast or slow, but think it will suit me limited use.
