No Kindle for me. I want to read a book on my pEZ, not my PC. Otherwise I never would have gotten it.

I have been ensured from the publishers (Thomas Nelson) that it will be available soon after the holidays, but I dunno exactly how soon they are referring to.

I wish Amazon would loosen their iron grip of book 1's. I found that it is not just the King Raven series. It's also with other series that I have seen before. Unfortunately, I cannot recall any names right now, simply because I can't remember which series that I have searched for. (Old age creepin in on me).

I have noticed that other sellers like B&N, Borders, and such will have books 2 and 3, but many of the 1's are only sold through Amazon. It is quite frustrating.

Hon, there's no reason you can't read it on your reader. Buy it with the Kindle for PC app. Break the DRM (yes, Topaz has been broken), convert, and put it on your Pocket Pro.

I am now boycotting Amazon because of their "Kindle only" policy.
I don't own one. I won't buy one.

I would have bought titles from Amazon, but they don't want to sell me titles I can legally use portably in any format except Dead Tree and Audio.

I detest reading on a Desktop Display. DRM removal is aquestionable practice (and a lot of extra work).

One of the Firts things my Chief Engineer taught me: "There ain't no such thing a a single source" (Meaning: The part does not exist for design/use purposes. )

thanks shel. it has been so long since i had been regular on here that a lot has happened. topaz broken...ces came and gone...wow.

i am also of the mind with ducky. gotta be a boycott of amazon for me as well. if amazon starts to sell more books after the drm-break, well...its still topaz books that are selling. theyre still making money off of their irongrip tactics. just because i can now break the format is no reason to bow to them and put my money in their coffers. id rather give my money to those who are more open to change.

maybe now that topaz has broken open...their grip of first-in-a-series will loosen. i can get book 2 and 3 elsewhere..and will, once i get book 1. even if its via the darknet. i'll eventually get book 1 legit when it finally releases without amazon.
