font - arial

pagesize - 12x15 cm

These settings look great - very nice for reading. (Just as an aside, Arial 11 is the US government mandated font for National Institutes of Health grants, so something I am very used to reading!!).

i prefer serif fonts for reading just easier to keep the line. Georgia is nice to read and Garamond aswell. Much better than Times New Roman.

So has the mad rush of all the new iLiad users crushed the manybooks.net servers?
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get to the site for a couple of days.

Hmm, it seems to be working for me at the moment.

Let me ask a dumb question, just to make sure that this isn't the problem:

Are you trying www.manybooks.net, rather than manybooks.com (which definitely doesn't work)?

I know that's probably not the problem, and I'm not trying to be flip. Like I said, I just want to rule it out.

Indeed, manybooks.net seems to work fine now, and they have a "custom iLiad" format! VERY cool, you can choose between four fonts for body and headers, font size, margins, interline spacing... although it's still not quite the formatting I really like, it's now become perfectly readable (for me), I'm not going to bother to re-format most of the downloads anymore.

Gaaah! My house had some kind of power problems which made the router, etc, stop working -- and I was completely un-reachable in the middle of a forest for a couple days. Sorry about that

On the plus side I'm glad you've found the "custom iLiad" format useful; I'll keep playing around with additional options and see what we can do. What sort of formatting would you really like, ElaHuguet?

LOL, I think I told you already (by mail).

But here's a file I took from the site and re-formatted, to give you an idea of what I was talking about... although since then, I changed my mind on the font, and now use Palatino instead of Century Schoolbook. (BTW, really enjoyed this series, waiting eagerly for the last ones to come out, I guess next year or so, sigh)
