I think I've just done $10. It accepted the payment onto my Micropay account, and charged $7.99 for a Tami Hoag book against it, but it won't let me download it!

But I did choose a Random House book when you specifically mentioned it didn't work with them... <sigh>

I know the problem. I've got 1 book sitting in my Fictionwise bookshelf which won't download. Random House seems to be yhe only one that does it that way.

There is a really good book by an Aussie author that falls into the category/ies you mentioned. It is called Seacliff and is available as a DRM-free ePub for $2.95 AUD at www.zuluexpress.com, just click the library button at the top of the home page and you will see the book in the best seller list.

Hope you contacted them and asked for a refund - I did same mistake and had no problem getting a refund.

Thanks, Katti's Cat. Yes, I emailed them yesterday but as yet have't had a reply. I am so, so frustrated with not being able to buy my favourite authors. I hope they sort this geographical restrictions issue out soon!

It's more the fact that Luke is 4 as well as 6 years old in that paragraph...

OMG, Lene, I hadn't even picked up on that! This is why we need editors.

For me, it was more that we were being told that Luke was upset rather than shown.
