You're on the list Shel (I think you were on already, I'll have to check), in any case there's plenty to come this year. I made myself a promise for one Finch a month throughout 2010 at the very least until I kill him off in the last one at Christmas (cruel man that I am)

Tentatively:

Feb: The Empty Page (Finch only makes it back to SF for a day before his bags are packed and he's on his way to Beverly Hills to deal with a paranoid screenwriter and the dark shadows of Hollywood)

March: The Big Hurt (An old love of Finch's returns, and when old love returns, so do old heartbreaks.)

Are you still up????!!! Damn, it must be like nearly 5am in Paris. That remind me, I'm cooking up a series set in Paris either just before or just after WWII with a bespectacled female sleuth and her cat (Zelda the cat of course in another incarnation) and I'd like to ask some Paris related questions from time to time, nothing big or anything, just, you know so I don't get it horribly wrong.

I'm thinking of calling the first Fatale (but I'm not sure of exactly what Fatale means in French, or if it changes when you use Femme Fatale?)

Cool, thanks for that. I don't have much so far. The image of a train pulling into a station, lots of steam. A cat running through that steam to be picked up by a woman who looks strikingly like Marleine Dietrich, and this line (from the POV of the main character watching the cat and the woman).

The war was over, but in Paris a German accent might still get you killed.
