Also remember when you ordered, you were given a delay of 3 to 4 weeks. Now you are now excepting them to cut it to 1 week.

Nope. I was given a delay of 2 or 3 weeks, and that's been 4 weeks ago.

Also got one, delivery date 17th.

But, what is the tracking number?

The thing in the pdf in column "reference", starting with 1Z10R in my case? Ups says "can't be found" to that number.

Does it mean that UPS will not go to the harbour for your machine until 18.07?

strange email alert

I just got a mighty strange email:

Quote:
Dear Customer, we have shipped your order. Your order information is included in the form of an attachment to this email. To view the information you can open the attached PDF-file. If additional information is needed, you may visit www.ups.com and enter the tracking number indicated in the attached file in the tracking tool. Regards arvato logistics services
As the sender was from ms-wismo.com, using a Java Email client, routed through bertelsmann.de and telling me to look into an attached file called output.pdf to get a tracking number for an unspecified product I got really suspicious and did the following thing:

1) "Hey, that's a strange SPAM/Virus Email"
2) "Hey, that's a strange header."
3) "Ok, let's save output.pdf to somewhere safe."
4) "Let's open output.pdf with a text editor."
5) "Oh, it's really a PDF file, but it contains a stream?!"
6) "Although I think that it is probably a clever virus email, let's take a look at it with GhostView".
7) "Oh look, it's really from IREX and it's really telling me something."
8) "It will apparently arrive on July the 17th".

Puhhh, I survived it but I still don't know what number the tracking number is. Maybe I need to use a hex editor for this. Om. Seems that display technology is not the only thing that IREX is doing the totally different way. ;-)

@ali
The reference number on the shipping document perfectly fits the format of a UPS tracking no. Maybe UPS just have not swiped the barcode on the package yet. Has happned to me before.

@arivero
They have shipped it as "Standard" not "Express Saver" this is possibly due to the longer distance to send the package. I live in the south of Spain.

Same here. And who the f* is "jana.schmitz@bertelsmann.de", who apparently sent this stuff?

More: The signature is "arvato logistics services", which I never heard of before. ms-wismo.com seems to be a Microsoft B2B service to support shipments.

Are we there yet? My brain hurts. Mommy, I want something to drink please. I'll be nice.

I've not got one yet. But then, I'm a few orders on from you Onceways.

That said the last communication from irex stated that we would have them by Monday.
