Hibernate in Action by Patrick Peak and Nick Heudecker

BTW, I found a nice new use for my soon-to-be-owned Iliad: I will put the reference manuals of all my appliances, phones, etc. on a SD-card to always have them with me and never search one of those again. And I think the manuals for every technical device of anybody I know who are always asking me for help with their stuff too...

Lots and lots of Project Gutenberg public domain stuff that I never got around to reading in the hardcopy version, also some Doc Savage, books by John Buchan, Jules Verne, Conan Doyle - and the Flashman novels, as soon as I get around to scanning them...

BTW, I don't want to sound too much like a little old lady, but is anybody planning on using the Iliad for crossword puzzles? If so, where's a good place to pick some up?

As long as you cannot write onto pdfs, there's not much fun in doing crosswords, right?

That depends on how soon 'soon' is on the iRex 'DRM' comment. If it is available by the time the Iliad gets here, then it will most likely be something from the library (if they have DRMd Mobipocket or .pdf as one of the choices) - but that choice will be somewhat whimsical depending what I feel like at the time. If DRM file access is not available immediately, it will most likely be Captain Blood by Sabatini or something else interesting from project Gutenberg.

The world of Tiers, yes this a truly classic one! I have the (german) all in one book - 1500 pages +- . Yes I know almost everthing from Farmer, he is one of my favourites, like A.E. van Vogt, Brin, Baxter, Banks, Shekley to name a few.
Riverworld has its length, but for it is holding the expectations high and you want to read the next page and the next and so on ...

But we want to have the reader, content is our last concern

Greetings,
Frank

Hmmm, maybe The Woman in White by Collins since my wife and I saw the Broadway show when we were in NYC last fall. (Did I mention whimsy above?).

I was thinking in terms of using the stylus to edit a jpg. Wouldn't that be the way to do a crossword on the Iliad?

If i ever order it:
maybe ... Neverending Story?

for real, i found some nice PDFs at http://www.gasl.org/ (Arno Schmidt reader society). They have some decent PDFs from Jules Verne (in german).

I will start reading (because I never did) with old Homers Ilias (Iliad). Hope to find a german translation
Irex should add this book as a standard.
