This issue has already been settled. A lot of people may not remember this but when the U.S. Post Office was going to issue an Elvis stamp they had a poll on whether the stamp should be a "Fat Elvis" or a "Thin Elvis". The American people overwhelming voted for the thin Elvis.

So when it came for a commemorative stamp honoring toilet paper the Post office had another contest. Underneath the roll won by a landslide.

Note these stamps were quickly bought up by stamp collectors when they were first issued. They are considered very valuable today.

Mine has to feed from the top. My mother has been known to actually change people's toilet paper so it feeds like this. I'm not that bad, but it does drive me a little crazy when it feeds from the bottom.

I always wondered about something.

Did they make the pages softer back then? 'cause I just can't imagine using.......

When my Granny was still alive, I asked her about all of this stuff. I asked about female things also. I have to thank God to have been born in 1962 instead of 1912 like she was!

I do know that toilet paper sales jumped (or was it invented?) when the catalogs switched to glossy paper. Yowch!
