Nice video, thanks!
One thing that never fails to impress me is how wonderful those screens look, even on youtube videos-just so crisp and, well..paperlike. If only I could get over my aversion to the page turn flashing

I just watched Charbax's video again and I was wondering if anyone else thought the display seemed to have a lighter background than other readers. It's probably just the lighting in the room, but it seems to be lighter to me.

Maybe it's also the frame color that matches the background well. I seem to recall hearing that iRex made an effort to match the case color to the background color of the display in an effort to enhance the ink. I really hope they get this thing in the stores soon.

I had a few extra minutes this afternoon, so I went and played with the DR800SG. I'll write a post about my visit to the Freescale booth.

I spent some time int he Freescale booth talking with them about various devices and spent time with the DR800.

I like the over all device I think its a nice size and is a really tempting for me to own personally. The screen really is quite a bit bigger than a siz inch but the whole device is only slightly larger than most of the current 6 inch devices.

I really just didnt like the navigation bar tho. Maybe it was a poor example from over use but it seemed like it would break rather quickly and really was a huge negative for me.

After reading that post, I must say I'm disapointed with iRex.

No wonder Charbax didn't find the option to draw on the device. It seems the stylus is just to select options and move pages. That means: useless.

They've said that ink notes would not be in the initial release, but would be added later. Given their track record with software I would not buy anything from them based on future commitments. However I still really like this device given the 8 inch screen. That just seems to be the sweet spot for me in screen size.
