@JSWolf

Can you get it to work for more than one book?

I haven't -- No statements either way from Kobo, but I've tried reusing codes (including "Save20") and failed and seen no mechanism for multiple books per order.

Kobo coupon - I'll check with them

@JSWolf, @CraftyDan, thanks for the info.

I've just checked Kobo's affiliate page where they gave me this coupon, and there is no mention of it being a single use coupon.

I'll raise this with them, and report back. And yes, if it is a single use coupon, I'll take out the automatic discount from the price tables.

In the meantime, I can confirm that the cyberread 25% coupon is valid on multiple books and multiple purchases (I double-checked this with them yesterday after seeing your posts.)

Kobo 20% coupon is only single use

@CraftyDan, yes, you're right, the coupon is single use only.

I've just had that confirmed by Kobo, so will remove the automatic discount from the price tables.

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the feedback.

Can anyone tell me how, once you've established an account with Kobo, you implement a discount code?

When I signaled "Buy" it went immediately to my credit card account, debited the cost, said thanks, without there being a middle ground to enter the code.

I had the same thing happen w/the Barnes&Noble site. I contacted them for an explanation/credit and never hearing back I no longer shop there.

Know I am missing something probably very obvious, but am really frustrated because I like Kobo and could care less about B&N.

When I click on the "buy" button, it takes me to the Checkout page where I can enter my CC details. Underneath the box for the CC details, there's the details for the actual purchase.

There's the book graphic on the left; there's a "BUY NOW" button on the right; in between, I can see "have a promo code?" - that's where you'd enter the code before you hit the "BUY NOW" button.

Now, I haven't actually bought a book from Kobo yet, so it may well be that your experience is different; for example, perhaps once you've given them your credit card details, that they're missing this step inadvertently. I've forwarded this comment on to my contact at Kobo for comment.

My experience is the same as rwillmer, I have used the 20% code twice now... with no problem...you have to look a little close to see the place to put the code.....

I had the same experience as CharlieBird (Are you a John Connolly fan?) the first time. They sent me another coupon anyway even though it was my fault. They have been exceptional in responding to support issues!

I'll give another go later today. I want to get the recently published biography of Louis D. Brandeis.

benham, I've not read any John Connolly. While I like a good mystery, his books seem more in Stephen King's Thriller category, which I don't like. I just finished The Anarchist (from Kobo) which really good.

Do you think Kobo will send me a coupon if I drop them an email about my recently failed 20% discount attempt?

Thank all.

I agree about Connolly but ask because I like his Charlie Bird Parker series. Even those push the envelope a bit.

Email support with your issue. The couple of times I have needed them they have been right there.
