For some reason, it looks faked to me. Did you notice the little dots that moved like a cursor? How were they able to manipulate the device without a hand? I thought it was a movie being played back on the device.

It doesn't seem to have any backflash at all like an e-ink style screen has. The way it can scroll and change pages so quickly looks amazing. I wonder if there is a catch.

thats right. the demo unit is attached to the box under it which is running a rotating show through the display. this is so they DONT have to stand there and demo the display for each person.

But also think about what you wrote- They are playing back a MOVIE/VIDEO on a BI-STABLE Reflective display. That's actually quite amazing

What about eye-strain with the screens ?
That's to me the most important thing for an e-reader.

It's e-paper. It's no more "straining" than EPD like E-Ink. Likely less, as it has higher contrast and no page turn flicker.
