Question for Kindle newspaper subscribers - Page 2

Ok, I now subscribed to the 14-days trial of the New York Times.
In the current issue I only found one picture on the front page. All other articles do not seem to have pictures ... or I just haven't found them.

Interesting, that has been my experience with the NYT in the past as well. I wonder if the Sunday edition has more.

Anyway, I just woke up a bit ago, so I'm going to purchase today's issue and I'll report back.

My theory may be wrong. So far I'm finding quite a few pictures in this issue and I'm still early on in my search. I going though every page. I'll post them all when I've finished.

I found 32 (THIRTY-TWO!) pictures (some in color when viewed in Calibre), in the January 7, 2010 Kindle Edition of the New York Times. For those who may be playing along, here is just a sample:

I am starting to wonder if a newspaper subscription is worth it... Calibre is sufficient but I think I like them pictures in the articles

You're not getting pictures with your Calibre subscription?

Nope. I just tried the USA today feed to make sure it just wasnt the feed from my local paper. I dug around the preferences but I cant see anything that would fix/change that

I don't know about the New Yorker. I know that the L.A. Times feed from Calibre has pictures but the Kindle Edition does not (at least not in my test posted a few weeks ago).

Ok I also received this issue and tested the articles ... german users only get one(!!) picture on the front page, nothing more.

I think we need to test another couple of papers to confirm how widespread this is. Is there anyone else in the U.S. with a Kindle newspaper subscription that regularly has pictures in it?

What about US Magazines like Time Magazine or sth else?
I'm ready for another 14-day trial to test for german customers.
