i am using vista and thats the problem there is no download button that i can find and I don't have pop up blockers or anything

Sure, I can strip the DRM, go in and fix the mess. But most people won't be able to and those are the people who will just get fed up with eBooks. So putting out such crap is not going to do the company and eBooks any favors at all.

You need to have Adobe flash installed and ADE has to be installed and registered.

The botton is on the left sie of the screen. It says Download Item. Looks like you might be downloading ADE, but it opens ADE and then download the .acsm file.

I'm just not going to bother with it. I don't mind limited download periods, but if the book itself is time-limited I'm not going to deal with it: especially if you're not informed up front.

If you strip the DRM it's no longer time-limited...

I downloaded it for possibly future reading. After this month's fictionwise sale I have a couple hundred books to read first.

I generally don't bother with stripping DRM unless it's to convert something like an ereader book I bought on Fictionwise to read on my Sony. More to the point, especially in this case, is that I don't like the idea that the book is a) time limited, and b) that we are not informed up front that it will be.

(Not that any of it matters now, as the deal's expired.)
