And another vote for the Tuff Luv fliptop - more robust and I think it also offers better protection. If you travel a lot, there is also storage for a couple of SD cards - so you only need to plug them in if you need them.
I thought the stand was a bit of a gimmick, but have been surprised with how often I use it. During a recent visit to the desert, I cut up one of the silicon covers and used the top and bottom as sleeves to protect the slots at the top and bottom from dust. I needed to put the bottom sleeve into the bottom of the Tuff Luv, then fiddle about to get the reader into the sleeve, but I felt so much more comfortable with the level of protection provided.I guess you could do something similar with clingfilm - ok, not pretty, but who cares when protecting the reader from extreme conditions ! |
