Do you want to add notes, highlight, and bookmark from ur computer, is that what ur asking?

I have the Sony PRS-600. I can highlight, bookmark, write my own notes in (just like I'm writing on a paperback), and type notes. I have dictionary support, memory card storage, and can veiw multiple formats. There are formats and other things it won't read or do-it's not made to do everything tho, lol. There are other programs u can run on ur computer with ur reader that will make owning a reader much more satisfying. I don't know anything about other ereaders, but I know I love my Sony with all my heart! Look around the forums, good luck!

Epub format is not inferior; it's just not perfect. It's the "open" format that a lot of readers can read.

the reason I ask is I want to try these features before I put my money towards an ebook reader.

i cant speak for others, but the EBW 1150 will do all three, but takes an older format not offered by many sellers. and has poor memory capabilities. for $89 though, id say its worth it.

if your running linux though connectivity becomes problematic.
